Shoes

Anyone who knows me knows I can't live without my OOFO's .   I discovered these shoes after my amputations.   My podiatrist recommended them, he said it would be like walking on a cloud and he was right!!!   

These are better than any slipper I have ever owned.  I wear the slides around the house and to the store.   I wear my clogs everywhere. 

The first thing my husband and I do when we get home from a run is put our OOFO's on.  

OOFO's now offers a OOahh Sport Flex Sandal.   These were not available when I first had my amputations and had to wear velcro slides.   I own two pairs now and I can't live without them.

After my amputations I never thought it would be possible to find a comfortable shoe that I could wear with dresses/dress pants or even to dress up a cute jean outfit.   

I searched forever and finally found Viscata.  Their customer service is outstanding.  One of the tricks is finding a shoe that is wide enough for the front part of my foot without being too big.  The second hurdle is making sure it isn't too high that the slope of my foot is uncomfortable.   

I now own two pairs and they are perfect.  There is not a store that sells them so you buy everything on line.   Their customer service is helpful and they were able to provide me with a shoe that was a good fit and helped me nail the size. 

My foot is wide because of my amputations, but these would be perfect for individuals who have a wider foot or issues with bunions.  Check them out.  You won't be disappointed . #footwear

Running shoes....oh what a journey this has been.   

Being fitted for sneakers even before my amputations was something I believed in and did.

Walking/running in the right shoe is so important and the right fit will keep you from doing harm to your feet.  

I tried a number of sneakers and they just didn't work for me.  I needed something light, with a low drop and a wide toe base.  I discovered the TOPO Ultrafly which  were perfect....until they were discontinued.  The slight modification made with the Ultrafly 2 was too much of a change and I had to start searching again.   

Again TOPO customer service was top notch.  The woman I spoke to suggested I try the Phantom sneaker and I ended up buying 6 pairs.   #sneakers #running #footwear
